Snow Day & Santa Claus

Today was Collin's snow day at his preschool. They spend $3000 to have snow made for the school. Don't worry, they have sponsors and each child had to bring $13, but it is so much fun for the kids and so worth it. I know those of you who are snowed in your driveway right now must think that paying for snow is absolutely insane (am I right?). You do have to admit that this photo of the man wearing shorts and blowing man made snow is priceless. It was 70 degrees today, ugh.

It didn't take long for the snow to start melting so the kids had to get after it. I thought it was creative that they used their nap mats for sleds. Who'da thunk?

They had donuts and hot chocolate for the kids. I thought it was a bit dangerous to have platters of donuts accessible to kids ages 2-5. I caught one little girl who was probably 3 as she was tasting each donut. She would take a bite and then toss the donut into the trash before she would try a new one. I guess that was better than putting it back on the platter. Santa even made a visit. Collin looks so big in this picture.

OH MY GOSH! How fun is that??? What a creative idea! (and hey, we used to slide down the man-made snow hill at six flags).
