Last night our family made some really fabulous memories. For the first time in several years it snowed here and it was absolutely magical for the kids. We were all in Home Depot around 8pm last night and when we left the flurries were clearly visible. Meda and Collin ran around the parking lot with their tongues sticking out trying to catch a flake or two. After we had been home for a about an hour we looked outside and to my surprise the snow was actually sticking and you could see a white blanket covering our lawn. I let the kids stand on the porch and look at the snow and then I sent them to bed. I could hear some talking so I snuck down the hall and peeked into Meda's room and this is what I heard as they both sat at Meda's window staring out at the night sky(tear in my eye):
Collin: "It's just what you wished for Meda"
Meda: "I know! Let's sit here all night and watch it"
Me: "Do you guys want to go out and play in it?"
M&C: "Oh Mom, can we?"
So we all got our shoes and coats on and ran outside for snow angels and snowball fights. To my surprise, the entire neighborhood was busy with kids running around in the snow. It was awesome.
