We planned on taking the kids to pick out a pumpkin this weekend, but instead of going over to the local Methodist Church and pick out a perfectly good pumpkin we decided to go to Dewberry Farm. The place looked super fun on the website, so we loaded up the car (one papa included) and drove the 75 miles to Brookshire. If we hadn't driven so far we may have left when we saw the gigantic line to buy tickets. We waited in line for 25 minutes and finally got in at about 4:15. The place is actually pretty neat, but I feel a bit overpriced at $11 a person which doesn't even include everything (not even a pumpkin). The kids had a grand time though. They rode the zipline, shot corn out of cannons, rode the human 'hamster wheel', and pedaled go-carts. We caught a hayride out to the pumpkin patch and let Meda and Collin pick their own pumpkin. Meda chose the fattest one she could find. I thought she was going to kill Papa in the process since he had to carry the thing back to the stroller turned pumpkin cart. Although we didn't get back home until 10 pm, the kids really enjoyed themselves and that was enough to make it worth it. Here are some pictures from the day.
