Theron Update

I just got back from visiting Theron and giving him his 8am feed. He looks SO MUCH BETTER this morning than he did last night when I gave him his 8pm bottle. We had a rough patch last night. His IV came out for the 2nd time so when Jeff went to feed him at 5pm they wouldn't let him in because they were attempting to get another one in. An hour and twenty minutes later they got a good IV. That was so hard to know that my baby was being stuck with needles for that long. He already has to get his blood sugar checked every 3 hours so his heels look like hamburger. BUT...the good news is his IV fluids have been discontinued and he has been able to maintain his blood sugar with his feeds!!! He is still on antibiotics but his cultures were still negative this morning at 48 hours. I am waiting for word that I can start nursing him again so that I don't have to pump and feed him a bottle.

I want to sincerely thank all of you that have been praying for Theron. We have really felt the prayers and I know that this will all be over soon and I will be able to bring my sweet baby boy home. I will be discharged today. They were nice enough to let me stay an extra night so I could be here with Theron, but I'll have to go home today.
